Back to work after 1 week of refreshing holiday. I didn't how exactly i survive this whole week without internet, but yeah i did. J's parent and sister came to town for holiday so we've been busy entertaining them which mean a lot of shopping and of course, food. I put on weight obviously.
Oh yeah, i'm officially move to the new apartment for good now =). The apartment is still rather empty but it's ok for now. J's mom give me a lot of "feng shui" advices such as how it's not good having the front door facing the lift because...hmm i can not really remember why...but it must have been something bad. Anyway, to overcome this unlucky position of the front door, she advises me to hang a "pak kua" (which i silently refuse to do) or to the respect of my believe, a blessed cross facing the front door. For those who dont know, a pak kua is a chinese device used to prevent the unwanted lost soul coming to your house and create chaos (such as sickness, pennyless, etc) in your household. As much as i dont like the idea of something transparant living with me, i'm also not that desperate to let my home looking like the set of chinese ghosthunter movie.
"feng shui" is originally a living environment science that exist to create a more harmonious and balanced living. I have nothing against a harmonious living, really, but i dont know...maybe i simply not a believer. I mean...IF people got pennyless or bankrupt, can they really blame the position of their front door? (or the fact that they such a big risk taker, or misplaced their trust to the wrong person, etc) IF a person got sick often, is that really because of the aquarium in the house or the fact that the person is not eating right, less exercise or bad circulation of air in the house?
Ah, but i guess a simple cross wont hurt anyone's feeling.

Sunday, October 15, 2006 HABB - hair gallery
I was so sick of my hairstyle, not because of the fact that it was last cutted by katrin, my unexperienced-hairstylist-wannabe friend, but simply because i'm dead bored with it. Ok, the unbalanced lenght and the messiness of my hair also has something to do with it.
i've always had a short-funky kind of hairstyle since forever, and just for once i'm dying to try having longer hair like all pretty feminim girls seems to have. Now that my hair is getting longer, i decided that this is the time to let my hair down, therefore i need to find a suitable hairstyle for a longer hair.
Yani, my colleague, chant along that she is also want to have a brand new hairstyle and how she has never find a good hairstylist. Having found my partner in crime with the same vision, the search of hairstylist began.
After days of conspiration, friday on lunch break we were heading to Taman Anggrek Mall. We browse around for a while in the hair&beauty section and became very interested in this Korean hair gallery called HABB. We decided to give it a shot. Yani, much impressed with the cute Korean hairstylist, choose the Korean hairstylist for 350rb. I went with the Indonesian hairstylist for 150rb thinking if he is working in a korean hair gallery the he must have at least inherited the Korean hairstylist technique. And he is cute 2 =)
I told my hairstylist (his name is danu) that i want to have a longer hair style that complimented my face-shape (round, that is) and suitable to my wavy-messy-undiscipline kind of hair and it must requires not too many daily attention. Too little information, too much to ask i know...but he did it just as well! i loooveee the result and definitely going back there for my next hair makeover. I notice their cutting techniques is different and they really put attention to details which i really appreaciate. While he is cutting my hair (wet hair), i told him that when my hair is dry it is getting big and messy which is really touble coz i'm not a blow-dry kind of girl. Half way cutting he decide to dry my hair and adjusted his cutting with my dry hair. See...attention to detail. i like it. Now my hair looks ok when its dry and i dont have to tied it up all the time. Here is my new hairstyle hehhee
Anyway, as much as i like my new hair, I'm still thinking that short hair is more practical though. I dunno, there is something with this longer hair that put my nerves on. It keeps errr.."stucked" everywhere. it stucked to j's watch many times while he is caressing my hair, it stucked to the label of my shirt while i change, it stucked to my neckleace, it stucked to my comb, it stucked to my glasses (i dunno how but it happens) and the most disgusting is it also sometimes stucked in my mouth while i eat. *sigh* i never have this problem when my hair is short.
